These hanging sculptures were inspired by the visual overlap of two different rhythms: the mechanical timing of traffic lights and the natural backdrop of the sky in various states.
I'd like them to function as both theatrical backdrops, and interceding partitions in relation to viewers. The invasive intensity of the lights, and the reaction of the sheets to movement around them, are attempts to make people more conscious of their own bodies as well.
